Hi! KBZ 447Y has been checked in at Prestige Car Wash. You're #3 in the queue — about 25 minutes. We'll text you the moment it's ready.

KBZ 447Y is clean and ready for collection. KES 2,500 when you pick it up. See you outside!

Two messages. Both automatic. The cashier didn't stop working.

What finding a customer actually costs

Someone has to find the customer.

When a car is ready, someone has to locate the owner — leave the counter, shout across the car park, or check if they're still in the lounge. During peak hours, that's not possible.

The ready tap sends a WhatsApp immediately. The customer walks out when they're ready. Nobody has to go looking.

Customers who left for coffee or errands come back to find their car has been ready for 20 minutes. They're frustrated. The wash looks disorganised even if the work was done right.

The message goes out the moment the car is marked ready — not when the cashier has a free moment. The customer knows before they walk back.

Status questions — 'is mine done yet?' — hit the cashier during the exact moment they're processing a payment, managing the queue, or handling a new arrival.

The check-in confirmation tells the customer their position and wait time. Most of those questions stop before they're asked.

How it works

Two messages. Both automatic.

WhatsApp first. SMS if it fails.

Carwosh sends the ready message via WhatsApp. If the delivery fails — no account, no data, wrong number format — an SMS goes out instead. Automatic fallback. Nothing to configure per customer.

A confirmation on check-in too.

When a car checks in, the customer gets a WhatsApp with their plate, their position in the queue, and an estimated wait time. That alone cuts most of the 'how long?' questions before they're asked.

From your number or ours.

By default, messages come from Carwosh's number — nothing to set up. If you want them from your own WhatsApp Business line or SMS number, add your credentials in Settings. Your customers see your wash's name, not ours.

Loyalty messages run the same way.

Free wash on the 10th visit. Re-engagement after 30 quiet days. Same delivery system — WhatsApp first, SMS fallback. No separate setup.

No shouting across the car park
